1. Who we are

LocalSky (“LocalSky,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Contact: support@localsky.app.

2. What we collect

  • Account/authentication data via Bluesky/AT Protocol (access/refresh tokens, handle/DID).
  • Profile and content you provide (posts, messages/DMs, media, listings, flair/text overlays).
  • Media you capture or pick (camera/photo library; microphone only when you record video with audio). Media is uploaded to Bluesky and stored temporarily on your device for editing/drafts.
  • Location context you enter manually (city/state and optional ZIP). We do not collect GPS or other device location signals.
  • Local storage on your device for drafts, cached thumbnails/previews, and tokens stored securely (flutter_secure_storage).
  • App/device diagnostics (app version, basic device info, crash logs).
  • Advertising data (if/when ads are enabled; currently no ads in the app). If ads are added later, ad providers (e.g., AdMob) may receive device identifiers, coarse location from IP, and ad performance signals.

3. Why we collect it

  • Create and maintain your account/session.
  • Show local results and tag your posts with the city/state you provide.
  • Deliver core features: posting, messaging, search, listings, and notifications you enable.
  • Protect against abuse, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • Serve ads (if/when enabled) and measure performance. No ads are currently shown. We do not use precise location.

4. How we use it

  • Provide and personalize the app, including tagging based on your entered city/state.
  • Operate search, feeds, messaging, posting, and listings.
  • Security, anti-abuse, debugging, and support.
  • Advertising and measurement (if/when enabled; currently no ads).

4. Device permissions we request

  • Camera: to capture photos/videos inside the app.
  • Microphone: only when you record video with audio.
  • Photos/Media library: to pick images or videos to post or edit.
  • Network access: to upload content, fetch feeds/listings, and send messages.
  • We do not request or collect precise or background location.

5. Sharing and third parties

  • Bluesky/AT Protocol: used for login, identity, and storage/serving of content. Your posts and account data are managed on Bluesky’s infrastructure and subject to Bluesky’s terms/policies.
  • Marketplace/backend services: listings and related metadata may be stored on our backend when provided.
  • Service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting, advertising if enabled) under contractual safeguards.
  • Legal/safety if required by law or to protect rights.

6. Data retention

  • We retain data while you have an account and as needed for legal and operational purposes.
  • Posts and account data stored on Bluesky follow Bluesky’s retention practices.
  • Drafts, cached thumbnails, and temp export files remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app.
  • Advertising logs (if enabled) are retained per the ad network’s policies.

7. Your choices

  • You can stop using the app at any time. Core features require a valid Bluesky account and your entered city/state.
  • You can update what you share in the app UI where options exist (e.g., profile fields you control).
  • You can sign out to clear tokens on this device. For removal of content stored on Bluesky, use Bluesky’s tools. For LocalSky-specific requests, contact support@localsky.app.
  • You can delete drafts and cached media on your device; uninstalling the app removes locally stored data.
  • To delete your Bluesky account and content, go to Bluesky settings → Account → Delete account (or open https://bsky.app/settings/account from Settings > Account & data deletion).

8. Data on Bluesky

  • Content and account data are stored and managed on Bluesky/AT Protocol.
  • LocalSky cannot directly remove or correct data on Bluesky. To change or remove Bluesky-hosted data, use Bluesky’s tools or contact Bluesky per their policies.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures. No method is 100% secure.

10. Children

  • Not directed to children; you must meet the minimum age per your region (at least 13 in most locations).
  • No gambling or real-money contests; no sexually explicit content is permitted.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via other reasonable means.
